About

Fernanda Vuilleumier

The Architect Designer

The simplest moments fill us up. When I think of my childhood, I remember sitting under a lemon tree. Holding the bright-as-sun fruit, I peeled it and ate it with salt.

Growing up, I cherished the simple moments in nature, like sitting under a lemon tree and enjoying fruit with salt at my grandfather’s house in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico. These moments, spent tending to his plants with my family, instilled in me a deep appreciation for the joy of savoring outdoor experiences.

My career naturally followed this path, influenced by a family deeply involved in architecture and design. After earning my BA in architecture, I pursued a Master’s degree at the California College of the Arts in San Francisco. My work has since spanned continents—from Mexico to Chile to the U.S.—earning recognition for diverse projects, including post-disaster shelters and residential designs.

In 2008, I established FV Architecture Design in Patagonia, Chile, focusing on residential design and construction.

By 2014, I expanded into commercial design and remodeling.

By 2020, I embraced gardening as a personal solace, and now, I bring my extensive experience to help others cultivate the joy of outdoor living. Whether you’re near or far, I hope our collaboration fosters a deeper connection with nature and enhances your outdoor lifestyle.
